Harry Hurzeler

Dr. Harry Hurzeler has three decades of experience in the financial industry.

Harry has held line management roles in front, staff and back-office areas at Credit Suisse. Among others he was the Managing Director of CS Trust & Banking (Japan), Head of CS Private Banking in Japan, Head of CS IT & Operations International, and Managing Director and Head Country Management Asia for Credit Suisse First Boston. Harry has developed and successfully implemented business strategies in a wide range of banking areas, and has extensive experience in leading business projects in Europe and Asia.

Harry also managed banking executive education for many years, first as the Managing Director of the Swiss Banking School, which he transformed into a market-driven international institution, before helping to establish the Swiss Finance Institute as its COO and Director Executive Education. During this time Harry supervised more than 100 development programs involving financial institutions, academic institutions and government entities from around the world. In private banking Harry led numerous strategy seminars and taught over 2500 executives from over 50 countries, teaching in academic degree programs as well as in company-specific programs. Harry holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Mathematics, has taught as a professor of mathematics in the US, and holds a Master of Arts, majoring in business. Harry is Swiss and Canadian, and has lived in Canada, the US, the Republic of South Africa, Japan, and Switzerland.
